Honda UK have unleashed his stunning special-edition CB1100RS, inspired by the factory endurance racers of the 1980s. There were 54 of the drop-dead gorgeous machines built in partnership with 5Four Motorcycles to mark the 50th anniversary of the legendary Honda CB750. That ground-breaking bike is widely regarded as the first proper superbike and this eye-popping tribute mixes old and new to create a breathtaking beast. The 5Four special-edition is powered by the same 1140cc air-cooled inline four as the standard machine, which pumps out 88.5bhp. The Ninja H2 SX has plenty in common with the machine that started Kawasaki's supercharged family three years ago. Just like that original Ninja H2, the SX has sharp-edged styling, features a blower bolted to its four-cylinder engine, and answers a twist of the throttle by doing its best to rip its clip-on bars out of your hands. But the Ninja H2 SX is a very different machine to the outrageous original H2. It has an aggressive, origami-like full fairing instead of a half-fairing, its screen is taller, those clip-ons are higher and it's built for comfort as well as speed. The supercharger that is mostly hidden behind the bodywork is designed for economy as well as power. And although the SX makes a claimed 197bhp, its throttle response is positively civilised. There's a lot to like about the new Suzuki V-Strom 1050 and 1050 DE. The key difference with the 2023 bike is the focus around improved electronics and rider aids, in a bid to bring their flagship adventure bike in line with its peers. Hand in hand with the new electronics is an all new 5" TFT dash. TFT dashes are common place for bikes at this price point but Suzuki have excelled in the layout and ease of use of their new system. This in turn makes it easy to navigate through the settings, which include a three stage traction control plus a DE model-only Gravel setting which retards the ignition rather than preventing the rear wheel spinning. There are three fuel maps as well as two stages of ABS for road use plus an off-road setting which continues to operate on the front wheel but is disabled on the rear meaning you are free to lock the rear wheel if you choose. On the road it's an easy-going and friendly bike to ride. The combination of useable power from the 1037cc 90° V-twin, slick gear box - which now comes bi-directional quick shifter - and a well balanced chassis makes the V-Strom a nice place to be without being intimidating in any way.
